Obviously, I had my issues with When Heaven Weeps, but it was still an engaging read. The sentiment was genuine and it provoked some introspection, and for that I appreciate it.
It isn’t merely cerebral pseudo-noir. It prompts us to contemplate what it means to be human.
Bond is no longer the superhero of the first few novels. He is a man who makes mistakes, has hobbies and regrets and addictions.
